Saturday, August 2 - Sunday, August 3, 2025
Times: The Village is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors can stay until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Step back in time as hundreds of reenactors portraying soldiers, artisans, and civilian camp followers recreate the sights, sounds, and stories of the American Revolution. Watch thrilling drills, musket and cannon demonstrations, and battles, chat with artisan craftspeople, tour the military encampments, listen to fife and drum music, and chat with both reenactors and Old Sturbridge Village’s costumed historians. Don’t miss this immersive, two-day event, perfect for families, history buffs, and curious minds of all ages. We will have water stations set up outside during the event and encourage visitors to bring their own reusable water bottles.
Guests can explore the grounds and encampments at their own pace, and many demonstrations are ongoing throughout the day.
Please note: Visitors are not permitted to bring weapons, and we ask that children leave any toy guns that look realistic at home. Wooden toy muskets, like those sold in our shops, are permitted.

Watch recreated drills, thrilling musket and cannon firings, and a battle, as well as special demonstrations of Colonial-era crafts and everyday camp life tasks.

Get an insider’s look at life during the American Revolution as you tour the camps of both the British and Colonial troops.

Visit with guest tradespeople and chat with hundreds of costumed reenactors portraying both soldiers and civilians.

Engage your senses as you experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the past. Learn to march, hear the rousing sound of martial music, and enjoy old-fashioned amusements.

Grab a delicious bite to eat from the Village Grille, Bullard Tavern Cafeteria, or Ox & Yoke Café. Cool off with ice cream from the Scoop Shop or treat yourself to a famous OSV cookie!

Stop by our shops for a souvenir to remember your visit, like this year’s limited edition Redcoats & Rebels T-shirt, books, toys, rock candy, and more.
