Learn about how early 19th-century New Englanders prepared for Thanksgiving, see demonstrations of blacksmithing, pottery, textile work, and other artisan crafts, take a ride on the horse-drawn carryall, explore our scenic landscape, and more!

Old Sturbridge Village members are invited to bring up to two free guests to the Village anytime the Village is open for standard daytime admission in November 2025. Old Sturbridge Village is open Wednesday - Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through November 15, 2025. Please see the policies below for details.

Programming Highlights for November:

As always, you can view a schedule of timed activities here. Schedules are subject to change without notice.
Join us for the final Tavern Day of the year on November 1, complete with music, games, and other social activities.
Please note that we will demonstrate butchering on November 8 and 9 at the Freeman Farm. The crops and animals raised on our farms are used throughout the year in our daily hearth cooking programs. We recognize this is a sensitive topic for many visitors; please use your own discretion. There is plenty to see and do on other parts of the Village property!
The OSV Singers will be performing a selection of early 19th-century songs on November 8.
On November 15, the Village is celebrating Thanksgiving! We will recognize the holiday with cooking demonstrations in the morning and staged Thanksgiving dinners in the Fitch House at 12:00 p.m. and the Freeman Farmhouse at 1:00 p.m. There will also be a turkey shoot.

Member November Policies:

Up to two (2) free guests will be admitted per membership per day. These guests are in addition to any “permanent guests” on your membership. (For example, if you have an Individual + One Guest membership, your membership will admit you and three guests on these special days.)
The member named on your membership card must be present in order for guests to receive free admission.
Both Old Sturbridge Village and Coggeshall Farm Museum members are invited to bring free guests to Old Sturbridge Village and/or Coggeshall Farm Museum.
Member November applies to daytime visits on November 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2025 at Old Sturbridge Village and on November 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2025 at Coggeshall Farm Museum. Member November does NOT apply to Christmas by Candlelight. Members can purchase Christmas by Candlelight tickets at the early-bird member rate for non-member family and friends. Old Sturbridge Village will be CLOSED from November 16 – 27, 2025 as we prepare for Christmas by Candlelight.
